ABMECH’s mission statement is “To be the safest provider of low cost innovative solutions for the hazardous materials remediation and thermal insulation markets in the industry”.  Providing this type of turnkey service to our clients provides real value and expertise that few others can compete with.

Our experience in the field of insulation application dates back to after WWII, when my father was recruited by the International Assn. of Heat & Frost Insulators & Asbestos Workers while exiting a warship off a dock in Chicago. This was the first “Helmets to Hardhats” campaign ever instituted. How ironic is it that the asbestos materials my father applied to the areas’ pipe, boilers, vessels, etc. are known carcinogens, now being removed. The almost 90 years of combined experience of our founding principals alone is unheard of in the industry. We put this wealth of knowledge and experience to work for you on each and every project.

We have the ability to provide pricing estimates in lump sum, time & material or cost plus. We have developed our own estimating software programs which allow us to quickly provide man hours, as well as real time cost information to our customers on time & material orders on a daily basis, if required. We are a mobile contractor which gives us access to “local labor” regardless of what area our project is located in the states of Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, Virginia, New York and West Virginia. We have a strong labor base in the Pittsburgh, PA area and in most cases can respond to your needs in 90 minutes or less.

ABMECH’s dedication to safety is exemplified by our 2018 Experience Modification Rate (EMR) of 0.732.  EMR’s are used by customers and insurance companies to gauge both past cost of injuries and future chances of risk. An EMR of 1.0 is considered the industry average, which makes ABMECH’s 0.732 truly outstanding.

ABMECH is an active participant in the PENNSAFE State-Certified Workplace Safety Initiative.  Our commitment to safety is further illustrated by our Certified Safety Committee Mission Statement:

“To provide a workplace culture that is conducive to achieving maximum productivity in dangerous working environments by addressing potential safety deficiencies first and foremost before entering the environment. To achieve this goal through ongoing dialogue between Labor and Management, knowing that Labor understands that the ongoing physical requirements placed upon them require logical intelligent decisions be made to achieve the safety and productivity desired.”
